| Kyocera Ceramic Knife Sales Pass 5 Million Mark |
After decades of relentless work on perfecting ceramic knives, Kyocera announced that this past year, they have sold over 5 million knives. That's a lot of knives, and a lot of work. They have reported steady inclines in sales over the past decade and have doubled their knife sales from just 3 years ago.
Kyocera first introduced their knives to North America in the early 1990s. Their distinguishing white blades made their knives stand out in crowds and generated much attention. They were treated as a luxury item because of it's unique appearance and price. Their prices have dropped dramatically since then. Kyocera's first release was of a single line of knives. Their selection has since expanded to include a professional series (KYOTOP), along with a line of ceramic knives with different color handles, ceramic peelers, ceramic graters, and more. Congratulations Kyocera and keep the new toys coming! Comments (3)

... Ever since I bought my set of ceramic knives I rarely ever use my steel ones. They are still as sharp today as the day I bought them a year ago. They saty sharp for years and so far so good. I bought mine at a home show for a great price and the company I got them from has a great buy back gaurantee. |
